• Great nomination for Academy lecturer

    Composition teacher Simon Steen-Andersen is nominated for the Nordic Council Music Prize 2014 for his work "Black Box Music".

    The theme for the 2014-price is: "A work composed with clear structure and form which contains elements created in the moment of performance. It is assumed that the piece meets high artistic standards and, in its field, can be considered original."

    The prize is awarded every second year to a Nordic composer, and every second year to a Nordic musician. 11 composers are nominated this year, including two from Denmark.
