    19th of March 2014 · tags:

The classical trombone students at the Academy have just been in Copenhagen with colleagues from Austin, Texas. Tuesday 25 March they take off again, on tour to Lithuania and Latvia, along with the trombone students from the University of Stavanger, Norway. A total of 18 trombone players from Denmark and Norway will visit Vilnius and Riga, where they finish with a concert on Sunday 30 March.

The program of the tour is very broad, from medieval antiphon music to romantic opera hits and to brand new-composed works for trombone ensemble. First amanuensis Per Kristian Svensen from Stavanger and Professor Niels-Ole Bo Johansen from Aarhus are leading the trip and the concerts. The Ersamus program, local embassies and the Danish Cultural Institute in the Baltic States has supported the trip.
