Internationally acclaimed Danish soprano Henriette Bonde-Hansen holds an open master class at the Academy in Aarhus Monday and Tuesday 10 and 11 March. The public is free to visit the master class in room 220 at 10 am to 5 pm. The students will work with Bonde-Hansen's core repertoire: Italian arias by Mozart and by bel canto composers such as Bellini and Donizetti.

Henriette Bonde-Hansen made her debuted as a lyric soprano in 1993 and has a large number of leading opera roles in her repertoire. Her career is mostly abroad. In October 2013, she received the prestigious Carl Nielsen grant of DKK 600,000, one of the largest Danish honorary prizes. Bonde-Hansen is currently in Denmark to sing the title role in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, which will be premiered at Den Jyske Opera 5 March.

Ass. Prof. Bodil Øland at the Academy has organized the masterclass. Øland has been Bonde-Hansens singing teacher both at the conservatory in Copenhagen and at the Opera Academy, and the two have also sung together at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen.
