Soloist Class Student at the Academy, bass-baritone Simon Duus, receives the Music Reviewers Award in 2014 at a concert in Tivoli Concert Hall in June. The price is counted among musicians for very prestigious as it is awarded by the Association of Danish Classical Music Reviewers.

In a press release the Music Reviewers Association says: "His deep, masculine voice is ranging from big lied-cycles to oratorios, opera and operetta roles. Recently, he has been active in the DR Verdi Gala at Koncerthuset and in Emil Reesens operetta "Farinelli" in the Tivoli Concert Hall."

The Music Reviewers Association annually awards two Artists. The prices are awarded primarily to younger musicians, conductors, singers and ensembles, which have particularly attracted attention on the Danish classical music scene. The second prize winner in 2014 is recorder player Bolette Roed. The prices are in DKK 30,000 each.
