    In these days director Teis Syvsigs spectacular silent / short film "The Alchemist" is premiered at Odense International Film Festival. Music Theory student at the Academy, Lasse Dan Hansen, has composed the music and also conducted the recording of the music.

    The film is designed as a tribute to the 1920’s German film expressionism and tells the story of a man who is torn between love for his wife and his impossible, second love: alchemy.

    The film was shown for the first time Tuesday in Magasinet and will be shown again on Sunday at 11:00 at Brandts as part of Upcoming Odense during the Filmfestival. From here the film moves on to Pordenone Silent Film Festival in Italy inl October, together with a.o. the newly found Orson Welles film "Too Much Johnson" from 1938.
