• Frederik Munk Larsen appointed as a lecturer

    Frederik Munk Larsen has taught classical guitar at the Royal Academy of Music for more than 10 years and is currently the subject's head teacher. At 1 August 2013, he was appointed associate professor at the Academy.

    Munk Larsen graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2001 with brilliant reviews in the press. Since then he has established himself as one of the leading classical guitarists in Denmark, including 9 CD releases and a great number of concerts with Danish and international ensembles and orchestras as Scenatet, Coriuos Chamber Players, Athelas Sinfonietta and others.

    In July 2013 he made - on foot - a concert tour across through Denmark from Skagen to Nexo. Later in August he stands at the head of the first GUITAR +, a new European festival and study programe.
