The Royal Academy of Music is co-hosting the 23 international IASJ-meeting from 29th June to 5th July. IASJ, International Association of Schools of Jazz, gathers about 80 jazz schools/programs at top level from around the world. About 120 students and teachers from a large number of the member institutions will participate at the meeting in Denmark, which will take place partly in Aarhus, partly in Herning, where the other co-host DSI Swinging Europe is based.

The meeting program includes both ensemble playing and workshops as lectures, forums for dialogue and informal networking. The participants will gain new contacts, share experiences and interact in many ways. They also will play several public concerts, both in Herning and in Aarhus. See more here (in Danish).

In Aarhus the main concert will be on Wednesday 3rd July at. 20 in Rhythmic Hall, Concert Hall Aarhus, with Blood Sweat Drum + Bass Big Band featuring Palle Mikkelborg and former Miles Davis-musician Dave Liebman. See more here (in Danish).
