Last Tuesday, flute player Valdemar Ulrikkeholm received the Danish-America Foundation's grant of DKK 75,000 for his studies at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Here Valdemar shall study with Lorna McGhee in the academic year 2017-18. In addition, Valdemar also receives the Fulbright's commission of DKK 85,000 for his studies in the United States.

At the award ceremony in Kuppelsalen at Danske Bank in Copenhagen, minister of education and research Søren Pind was among the speakers. Both grants are widely recognized and open many doors and also look great at the CV! Valdemar Ulrikkeholm has just finished his master's degree at the Academy and also has just been admitted to the Academy's soloist class.
