• 2017 Masterclass, lecture and concert

    In connection with Aarhus 2017 associate professor of choir conducting Carsten Seyer Hansen and his choir Concert Clemens have planned an exchange project in which choirs and conductors from Lithuania, Finland and Denmark meet and explore musical connections and national characteristics.

    The first concert will take place in Aarhus on Sunday 5 March, with the Finnish Chamber Choir Kampin Laulu and Concert Clemens, conducted by Finnish conductor Kari Turunen and Carsten Seyer Hansen. The concert takes place in Aarhus Cathedral at 7.30 pm.

    In connection with the concert the Academy organizes lectures and masterclass. Today, Friday 3 March, a masterclass will be held with Kari Turunen. Tomorrow, Saturday, there will be a lecture at. 9:30 am on renaissance polyphony (room 236) and at 2 pm about new Finnish vocal music (room 224).
