    A whole range of Academy lecturers are nominated for a DMA Jazz Award in November. Danish Music Awards Jazz 2016 will be held on November 7 at Bremen Theatre in Copenhagen, with among others Sinne Eeg, Jakob Bro and the former Academy student Signe Bisgaard on stage.

    Trumpet player and Academy lecturer Jakob Buchanan is nominated for his CD Requiem in two categories: Album of the Year and Composer of the Year. It is the fourth time this album has been nominated for a music award.

    Singer and Academy lecturer in Aalborg Margrethe Grarup is nominated in the category Best Danish Vocal Release for her CD Walk with me. And bass player and lecturer Jens Mikkel Madsen is through his band I Think You're Awesome nominated in the category Special Album of the Year for the album Books.

    Finally, Aarhus Jazz Orchestra also is nominated in several categories - with Academy lecturer Mads Bærentzen at the piano ... and James Buchanan as trumpeter.
