Heigo Rosin made his debut from the Academy in April 2016. Today, Friday September 2, he will be granted the Harby Foundation's major travel grant of DKKR 200,000 for further studies.

The ceremony takes place at a concert at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, where Heigo is soloist in Erkki-Sven Tüür's Marimba Concerto "Ardor" from 2001. The Royal Danish Academy of Music’s Chamber Orchestra, supplemented with winds from the Academy in Aarhus, plays under the leadership of Magnus Fryklund, conducting student at RDAM. Piano Students at RDAM Alexander McKenzie also receives a similar grant at the concert.

Heigo Rosin was born in Estonia and came to Aarhus in 2014 to study in the soloist class of associate Professor Henrik Knarborg Larsen. With his debut Rosin was the first classical solo percussionist academy candidate from Estonia.

Aennchen and Eigil Harbys Fund is one of the largest music funds in Denmark. Its primary purpose is to award travel grants to support the soloist student at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, Copenhagen, and the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus/Aalborg.
