By the occasion of New Year the jazz-reviewers at Politiken has listed the best Danish jazz albums from 2015. The first on the list is Jacob Buchanan's Requiem, recorded with among others Carsten Seyer-Hansen and Aarhus Cathedral's Choir. Both Buchanan and Seyer-Hansen are lectures at the Academy.

Politiken writes:"The greatness is not to be overlooked in this year's fabulous crossover work 'Requiem', where trumpeter and composer Jakob Buchanan with choir, big band and soloists is wrestling with death and life issues. A sweeping contribution to Danish culture and a prime candidate for the Nordic Council Music Prize."
