New composer candidate Allan Gravgaard Madsen has organized a brand new festival of contemporary music - PanoRAMA - at the Academy on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June 2015.

The festival consists of four concerts in the Concert Hall Aarhus, all with free admission. With this festival Allan Gravgaard and three other students finishes their studies at the Academy, three of them as candidates, the fourth from the soloist class.

The audience will experience a number of very different pieces and a number of very fine ensembles. The festival has managed to engage both Århus Sinfonietta and the German Ensemble Apparat, consisting of virtuoso brass musicians with experience from leading European ensembles for contemporary music. With former professors like Per Nørgård and Karl Aage Rasmussen the Academy has a proud tradition of contemporary music. The new festival confirms that contemporary music is still alive and well doing at the Academy!
