• Steen-Andersen performances in Aarhus

    In late October Simon Steen-Andersen, who teaches composition at the Academy, got the prestigious Nordic Council Music Prize. Steen-Andersen is based in Berlin and his music is performed around the world.

    Now his music comes to his hometown Aarhus, where he can be heard in Elsinore Theatre on Sunday 16 November with a performance of his music- and video-piece "Run Time Error". It is in connection with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the National Arts Foundations first donation to musical life in Denmark. Doors open at 3:30 pm for a concert including Fuzzy, Bjørn Svin, Aarhus Sinfonietta and several others. Read more (in Danish).

    Tuesday 18 November the Aarhus audience can experience Simon Steen-Andersen's brand new opera "Buenos Aires", which premiered in Oslo in September, with a.o. video, electronics and wind machines. It is at 8 pm at Granhøj Dance. After this performance the opera continues to festivals in England and Germany. Read more (in Danish).
