Wayne Siegel, professor of electronic composition at the Academy, shall compose music for the Diamond Ensemble, the library orchestra in residence, and curate a concert series with contemporary  music. Quite obvious he also will compose music for the PA system in the Diamond's large atrium where Siegel's music will come to sound daily at 1 pm.

Library Director Erland Kolding Nielsen, precisely points to the large 12-channel PA system for electronic concerts as one of the reasons that they have chosen to associate a composer in residence. In addition, he refers to the library's extensive music collection, the Diamond Ensemble and the Danish Centre for Music Publishing, which also is part of the library.

Wayne Siegel has previously created music for the Diamond's sound system: "The place is an amazing playground to explore music's spatial dimension. I am looking forward to create a permanent sound installation for the atrium, which should evolve gradually over a whole year."
