Martin Lysholm Jepsen er uddannet hos Bengt Johnsson og Aino Gliemann på Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium 1986-92. Fra 1992-94 var han Post-Graduatestuderende ved Musikakademiet i Vilnius i Veronika Vitaites klasse. Desuden mange masterclasses hos Eugen Indjic, Lazar Berman og Günter Ludwig. Herefter talrige koncerter både som solist og akkompagnetør.I 1996 startede han som privatklaverlærer og blev så grebet af dette arbejde at han i 2001 grundlagde eliteklaverskolen Gradus, som tilbyder intensiv talentpleje for unge pianister. Martins elever har gjort sig flot bemærket ved mange koncerter og har vundet over 100 toppriser ved konkurrencer i ind-og udland. Tolv af Martins elever er blevet optaget i første forsøg til videre studier på konservatorier i Danmark og udlandet.

Martin er pr. august 2016 ansat som timelærer ved Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium. Martin Lysholm Jepsen har givet adskillige masterclasses samt lectures om temaet ”Basic excersises for building a strong and healthy technique for the young pianist” i Polen, Finland, Litauen, Georgien,Tyskland, Sverige og Danmark. Martin fungerer desuden som dommer ved klaverkonkurrencer i Danmark, Litauen og Polen. Han er har været ansat ved MKG i Kolding, Århus og Sønderborg Musikskoler. Som medlem af EPTA-dk`s bestyrelse står Martin bag en lang række kurser og koncerter -ikke mindst for unge pianister. Martin Lysholm Jepsen er kunstnerisk leder af Gradus International Piano Festival- som finder sted i juni i Musikhuset Aarhus. Festivalen præsenterer såvel verdenspianister som unge talenter.

Martin Lysholm Jepsen Born in Copenhagen in 1966. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus in 1992 and continued as aspirant in the Lithuanian Academy of Music 1992-1994 in the class of Professor Veronika Vitaite. He took part in several masterclasses - among others by Lazar Berman, Eugen Indjic and Günter Ludwig.After his studies Martin Lysholm Jepsen gave numerous concerts as soloist and accompanist.  In 2001 he turned his career towards teaching when he founded the Gradus  Piano School in Aarhus. Gradus is a private school nursing young talents and preparing them for further professional studies at aknowledged academies- among others in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Vilnius and Lake Como. The  Gradus students  appeared succesfully in many concerts as soloists and with orhestra in Denmark and abroad. They won more than 100 topprizes in national and international Competitions.

From the summer 2016 Martin Lysholm Jepsen started  teaching  at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus. He is member of the EPTA-DK comittee and he often organizes concerts and mastercasses for young talents and pedagogues.Martin Lysholm Jepsen is the artistic director of  the Gradus International Piano Festival which takes place annually in the prestiguos hall, Musikhuset Aarhus.  The Festival presents both young talents and master pianists- such as Eugen Indjic, Andrei Gavrilov, Kevin Kenner, Vera Nosina, Alexei Volodin, John Lill, Mikhail Voskresensky and Pascal Devoyon.
