The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus has established formalized research partnerships with the following institutions:

Danish National Research Foundation's center for Functionally Integrative Neuroscience - CFIN
Located at Aarhus University Hospital, CFIN is a part of the Clinical Institute at University of Aarhus. CFIN conducts brain research in an effort to understand the human brain and works towards creating a better understanding of neurological diseases and their treatments.

Music in the Brain
Music in the Brain has been founded by a number of research institutions in the city of Aarhus working within this field. It aims to facilitate contacts between different scientific approaches to studying music and the brain, and to introduce this scientific field to a broader audience within the danish music community.

Aarhus University Hospital
Aarhus University Hospital is a co-operation between six hospitals within the county of Aarhus and Northern Jutland and is closely connected to the University of Aarhus.

Center for Semiotics at the University of Aarhus (AU)
Center for Semiotics at the University of Aarhus conducts research within the area of semiotics i.e. the study of signs.

Centre for Cultural Research (AU)
The centre is an interdisciplinary research centre at the University of Aarhus. Among other things, the centre arranges seminars, workshops, and conferences.

Department of Computer Science (AU)
The Department of Computer Science at the University of Aarhus conducts research within both theoretical and experimental computer science. At present, the centre is one of the top research centres within its field.

Centre for Advanced Visualization and Interaction - CAVI (AU)
CAVI is a part of the University of Aarhus. The centre teaches and conducts research within the fields of architecture, design, scientific visualization, art and culture.

Digital Aesthetics Research Centre (DARC)
The centre, which is a part of the University of Aarhus, conducts research in the aesthetics of computer science.

Department of Design at Aarhus School of Architecture
The department of Design at Aarhus School of Architecture offers educations and conducts research in the fields of product design and building component design etc.

Department of Psychology (AU)
The department, which is a part of the University of Aarhus, offers undergraduate and postgraduate educations in psychology. Furthermore, it conducts research and educates researchers within this field.

The Institute of Anthropology (AU)
The institute, which is a part of the Institute of Anthropology, Archaeology and Linguistics at the University of Aarhus, offers educations and conducts research within the field of anthropology.

Wilhelm Johannsen Centre IMBG/G Panum Institute
The Wilhelm Johannsen Centre conducts research with the aim of establishing a functional map of the human genome.

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Roskilde
The museum exhibits contemporary art i both images, words and sounds by Danish as well as international artists.

Danish Broadcasting Corporation (Danmarks Radio, DR)
The Danish Broadcasting Corporation is the largest and oldest electronic media enterprise in Denmark covering both the radio and TV media.

Cognitive Brain Research Unit, Helsinki
Funded by the University of Helsinki and the Academy of Finland, the Cognitive Brain Research Unit conducts research in the human auditory information processing, memory and attention.

BioMag Laboratory, Helsinki University Central Hospital
Located at Helsinki University Central Hospital, BioMag Laboratory conducts research in biomagnetism in order to develop the technique of bioelectromagnetism for use in the hospital.

Functional Imaging Laboratory at the Wellcome Department of Imaging Neuroscience, London
The laboratory, which is a part of University College London, conducts research with the aim of understanding human brain function from a mechanistic perspective using a system levels analysis of data acquired using functional neuroimaging.
