Vemodig afsked med accordeon

Med to fremragende udgivelser for accordeon siger Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium et vemodigt farvel til undervisningen i instrumentet. Docent Jytte von Rüden har undervist begge solisterne, der præsenterer instrumentets bredde og kvaliteter - Anna Hüdepohl og Jarmila Vlachová.

Anna Hüdepohl

Anna Hüdepohl, som er født og opvokset i Tyskland, studerede klassisk accordeon ved Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium hos docent Jytte von Rüden. I 2004 aflagde hun musikpædagogisk diplomeksamen og debuterede i 2006 fra solistklassen med en koncert i Musikhuset Århus og Mogens Dahl koncertsal i København.

Hendes repertoire spænder vidt fra barokmusik til nutidige originalværker for accordeon. På denne CD præsenterer hun blandt andet værker af de skandinaviske komponister Arne Nordheim, Poul Rovsing Olsen, Torbjörn Lundquist og Bent Lorentzen. Hans nye værk „Sifs Guldhår“ er inspireret af en episode fra den nordiske mytologi og blev uropført på debutkoncerten.

Sofia Gubaidulinas „De Profundis“ er en klassiker indenfor den moderne accordeon litteratur. Værket er skrevet over salmen 130, Fra det dybe råber jeg til Dig.

Ved siden af sin solistiske karriere er Anna Hüdepohl også en aktiv kammermusiker. Med sin faste samspilspartner Ambjørn Sellin Lebech fremfører hun her en duel mellem accordeon og slagtøj.

Anna Hüdepohl har modtaget en række legater og vandt 1. prisen ved „Coupe Suisse de l'Accordéon“ i 2005.

Jarmila Vlachová

M.A. Jarmila Vlachová (born 1978) studied at the Conservatory of Pilsen (accordion with Ludmila Rottenbornova, piano with Vera Rezkova) and then at the Pedagogical Faculty of West Bohemian University, where she studied accordion with her father Jaroslav Vlach. In 2007, she finished a two-year postgraduate study with the highest possible evaluation in the prestigious “A” category at The Royal Academy of Music (Aarhus, Denmark) in the class of Jytte von Rüden.

Since the year 2001 she has been awarded a great number of important prizes in accordion competitions in the Czech Republic and abroad: In the competition of student's special works - in Olomouc (1st prize), in Prague (2nd prize 2001, 2002), for which she received special award from the Rector of the West Bohemian University, prof. Zdeněk Vostracky; the title Laureate of the 51st International Accordion Competition Trophée Mondial de l ́Accordéon in France (Lorient, 2001); 2nd prize and the title Laureate in the 52nd International Accordion Competition Trophée Mondial de l'́Accordéon in Italy (Belluno, 2002). In 2004, the Foundation 700 Years of the City of Pilsen granted her the award Pilsen Orfeus for Young Musicians.

During her studies at the Conservatory and at the Pedagogical Faculty she recorded a large number of original compositions for accordion by contemporary Pilsen and Prague composers (some of them, e.g. Jaromir Bazant, Jiri Bezdek or Jiri Laburda devoted their works directly to her) for the Czech Radio. This co-operation still continues. As a soloist she has performed with Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra.

Her first CD was recorded in the Czech Radio in 2004. Recently, she has finished another CD with Miroslav Vilimec, the concert master of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. This CD is devoted to the music festival Music in Synagogues of the Pilsen Region; at the festival she also plays with other soloists. She is involved in the CD“Musical Poetry” of the pedagogues of the Department of Music Culture, the Pedagogical Faculty of West Bohemian University.

She gives concerts all over the Czech Republic and abroad (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark). With leading Czech painters she participated in the project “Czech Art for Brazilian Lidice” organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brazil in the years 2003 and 2005.

Jarmila Vlachová plays chamber music with her husband David Niederle, the violoncellist of the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra
