• DIEM release event

    11th of June 2014 · tags:

Three students from the Academy's electronic programme, DIEM, explores three different media in a joint release party at the roof of A-huset, Godsbanen in Aarhus, Thursday 12 June from 8.00 pm. The three publications are: Maulex: Circular Movements (7 'and 10' vinyl); Shetyw: Shetyw (Cassette); Phaedrus: Koa Ni (Digital Ep).

Maulex (René Middelhede) explores alternative use of the gramophone where the medium itself becomes a sound-making, sequencing composition tool. Shetyw (Aske Krammer) buoys analogous structures with modular synth as a blacksmith block. Phaedrus (Johan de Reybekill) examines the boundary between conscious and unconscious errors when the CPU is lagging behind in trying to perform power-intensive commands in the form of self-generating synthesis.

There is free admission to the event. See more at phloqs website and on Facebook.
