• Frozen music in Nordjyske

    15th of May 2017 · tags:

Saturday Nordjyske Stiftstidende presented a full-page report on a very special music project with Academy lecturer Christian Windfeld participating: Freezing music in 3D sculptures. During 72 concerts at Kunsthal NORD in Aalborg, music and movements in the room are transformed via a 3D printer into 72 sculptures. See further mention 5 May.

In the article Windfeld tells that his trio was inspired by the National Arts Foundation’s wish to support new forms of publishing, now that the traditional media such as CD and LP are almost extinct. By translating the music into sculptures, the music truly is published in a completely new way! (The article is not online.)

The concerts will continue until 4 June, with three concerts a day, six days a week.
