• Cello professor anniversary

    9th of December 2016 · tags:

Cello professor at the Academy Henrik Brendstrup has been a lecturer for 25 years. This will be marked by a concert with the Academy’s strings ensemble, RAMA Strings, tonight at 7:30 pm.

For 25 years Brendstrup has been a highly esteemed lecturer, first at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, since 2004 at the Academy in Aarhus. In 2011 he was appointed professor.

Besides being a sought-after lecturer Brendstrup is a high-profile musician, member of ensembles such as the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and Copenhagen Classic, and with many CD releases behind him. He is one of the few Nordic musicians who have received both the French music prize Diapason d'or as well as the German Deutche Schallplattenpreis for his recordings.
