• Very impressive performance

Reviewer during many years at Jyllands Posten, John Christiansen, was very enthusiastic about the world premiere of Bent Lorentzen opera Steppenwolf Thursday night in Aarhus by the Academy and two other Danish music Academys. On his blog, j.c.klassisk He writes .: "It was a very impressive performance with students predominantly from the Academy at the chairs and in the choir. Søren Kinch Hansen conducted safely and inspiring with vigor and vitality. There was the right bite in the Orchestra."

Christiansen also was impressed by the semi-scenic performance with projections, lighting and singers in and out between the orchestra musicians; and he has nice words about the three soloists, who together with the conducter were the only professionals on stage. From the choir and the smaller solo roles he will not highlight some over others, since all still students - but overall John Christiansen estimates that "the young singer’s time is clearly on the way."
