• Robert Vinther new head of studies

    1. February Robert Vinther is appointed Head of Studies for the classical programs at the Academy. For many years Vinther has taught music drama and directed the opera productions at the Academy, most recently Hansel and Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck in January 2015.

    Robert Vinther himself is a candidate from the Academy. For many years he has been permanently employed by the Danish National Opera's Choir and in this connection he also had a number of solo parts. With his new job, he almost turns fully back to the Academy but continues to a lesser extent as a director at the Danish National Opera.

    Vinther is a self-taught director and has staged several productions at the Danish National Opera, among others Cavalleria Rusticana, Bajadser and Gianni Schicchi. He has been assistant director for, among others Uwe Schwarz (Madama Butterfly) and Troels Kold (La Boheme, with Angela Gheorghiu and Roberto Alagna).
