    The Bisballe Foundation honorary prize is awarded to gifted artists who have not yet achieved recognition outside a narrow circle. The recipient must have demonstrated a strong independent expression or have carried out innovative and important works.

    The price for 2014 of 75,000 kr. now has been awarded Laila Skovmand who is soloist student at the Academy, working in the tension between composition and performance. She has invented the concept Aquasonic, a concert taking place under water. See more.

    The Award will be granted in Hotel Pro Forma in Copenhagen on 25 January. The award is given to many different kinds of artist. Composers Simon Steen Andersen and Rune Glerup received the award respectively in 2005 and 2012.
