Young Danish composer and DJ Mike Sheridan and the French Hope Ensemble guests the Academy in Aarhus on Wednesday 26 November to give a seminar for the students from the percussion class and from the electronic program. They will present the instrument cristal baschet, which today is probably best known from the soundtracks at Drive and Solaris by film composer Cliff Martinez.

The public can experience the instrument at the concert wednesday at 8 pm.

Hope Ensemble consists of instrument builder, musician and scientist Frederic Bousquet and percussion professor Marc-Antoine Millon. Together, they specialize in spreading, improve and challenge the Baschet brothers instrument. The ensemble moves both in the modern and the classical repertoire.

Mike Sheridan founded the first acquaintance with the instrument three years ago. Sheridan and Hope Solo comes directly from a joint concert at DR studio 2 21 November. This is their first major project together with Sheridan at synthesizers and christal baschet and Hope Ensemble at christal bascheter and percussion.
