Barbara Bonney

On May 21, 2010, the famous soprano Barbara Bonney was nominated as the Honorary Professor by the Royal Music Academy, Aarhus/Aalborg.

Barbara Bonney is known and loved across the entire world for her fine and lyric voice. She has actively performed in opera roles of Mozart and Richard Strauss and Lied-concerts as well as orchestra concerts. Ms. Bonney has made it all the way to the top, has 30 years experience and over 100 recordings.

The agreement with Barbara Bonney regarding the honorary professorship has been made through the Academy’s singing master Ingrid Haking Raaby. Ms. Raaby is looking forward to the cooperation. She knows Bonney as a great artist with both legs planted solidly on the ground. It will be of great inspiration to the vocal students of the Royal Music Academy, Aarhus/Aalborg to receive occasional classes at this level. The agreement will further strengthen the Academy’s international contacts.
